Report: Snap Working on New Smart Specs
Word has it Snap is working on a new pair of connected sunglasses.
Cheddar on Friday reported that Snap aims to "launch a 2nd version of its Spectacles spectacles this year followed by a more than ambitious tertiary version equipped with two cameras in 2022."
Spectacles 2.0 volition reportedly be h2o resistant and come in some new colors; the electric current version is available in black, coral, and teal. The third generation, meanwhile, will offer "more than ambitious" updates, including a new blueprint.
"Snap has prototyped an aluminum design with more circular lens frames and 2 cameras that would let for 3D-like depth effects in videos," the report notes. "Snap has additionally considered including a built-in GPS and a leather case, too as a potential toll tag of around $300."
